TDI Extended Range, a specialty course designed for divers with restricted access to Trimix, is available. It emphasizes the importance of solid procedures, skill improvement, and diver response in difficult situations. Students will be able to safely dive in Extended Range environments and use up to two decompression chemicals. TDI Extended Range training dives can be conducted with nitrox, air or both.
TDI Trimix
TDI Trimix certification opens the doors to many new dive sites. This certification also allows divers to have more bottom time, and can go up to 60 meters/200 feet. Extended Range is also available via eLearning. TDI eLearning allows you to complete the course online if you are unable or unwilling to go to a local dive center. This course will help you understand the advantages of extended range diving.
The Extended Range course will allow you to dive in more challenging locations and decrease your nitrogen narcosis. Stage decompression diving is a process that involves using two stages of enriched air, oxygen or enriched water. The Extended Range course can be combined with TDI Trimix Diver Certificate.
TDI Trimix training will prepare you for advanced diving and allows you to dive up to 60 meters in normoxic conditions. TDI Trimix training focuses primarily upon safety and skill building, as it is necessary to quickly address problems at depths of up to 60 meters. Divers must be familiar with the procedures and feel comfortable using them.
