Online certification is possible for the SSI Mermaid. You can do it online, so you can work whenever and wherever you like. There are two parts of the certification. The practical portion is online and the other part is online. Online certification can be done on a computer, laptop, or smartphone. Both iOS and Android users can access the SSI App.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT, a PADI Mermaid Instructor, is a certified SSI Instructor trainer. She began diving at an early age, and she has earned many Specialty Instructor Ratings. She loves water and takes open water classes. JODY has also been certified as a Technical Rescue instructor trainer.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey loves the ocean and is a keen surfer. Her love of the ocean and beach inspired her to purchase a mermaid tail to use in her rehabilitation. When she wore the tail in a local hotel swimming pond, she attracted the attention and admiration of children and parents.
Try Mermaid Experience
Whether you've always dreamed of being a mermaid or you're just curious about how the experience works, you've come to the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid Experience that allows you to swim underwater using mermaid fins. This course is great for beginners. It will teach swimming underwater safely, using mermaid tail fins, holding your breath underwater, and more. The $15 you receive towards your full certification is yours after you complete your Try Mermaid Course.
Rusty
Rusty was born in New Orleans, but grew up in a small town in the Atchafalaya Basin. It is the largest US swamp, covering 22 municipalities. Living in the swamp has given him a deep appreciation for the unique cajun culture. Rusty loves to dive, cycle, and spend time with his loved ones.
Niki
Niki Dawson has been a successful female entrepreneur. She loves to travel to different parts to dive. Her favorite dive spots include Micronesia, Australia, the Caribbean, Africa, and the Western Pacific. Niki loves all things travel, even diving.
Evi
Evi is an instructor and performer in mermaid swimming. Her first mermaid school opened in March 2018 and she has already trained hundreds of guppies to swim with her tail. Evi and Naomi competed at the World Mermaid Championship. Her goal is to help kids enjoy the water while being reef safe.
