The Tec 40 Diver course teaches you how to deal with emergencies while diving. The course includes three training dives and a confined water diving session. Knowledge development sessions and practical applications are also included. This certification can be earned after completing a minimum of 30 dives, including 10 enriched air nitrox dives. You will be eligible to enroll in Padi Tec40 courses at colleges and universities around the globe after completing this course.
Tec 40 course
The PADI Tec 40 course enhances recreational diving skills by teaching advanced techniques. Students will learn advanced techniques for deep diving and be introduced to trimix 65 and air decompression gas. Tec 40 students will also learn how to use back gas and master buoyancy control. In addition, they will learn advanced nitrox theory.
The Tec40 course emphasizes team diving techniques, self-reliance and communication in water. Students also learn more about decompression theory, which helps them plan dives more efficiently. Additionally, the course covers equipment configuration and best practices.

The PADI Tec40 course takes around three days. The course requires that students have completed at minimum 30 dives in log, with at least 10 in enriched oxygen. Students can switch to enriched air and dive up to 40m after completing the course.
Requirements to take Tec 40 course
If you are interested in technical diving, the PADI Tec 40 course is a great place to start. It bridges the gap from recreational diving to full technical deep compression diving. It provides the necessary skills for tec diver training. You will be capable of diving to 40 meters without stopping. You'll also be able to use a full technical rig.
The Tec40 course teaches advanced dive theory and encourages self-reliance in the water. Tec40 also introduces students to advanced nitrox theory, including partial-pressures and oxygen exposure over multiple dives.
College credit for Tec 40 course
PADI Tec40 is a three-day course that requires at least 30 logged dives. It also requires 10 enriched nitrox diving. It teaches the diver to plan a dive and to use oxygen to decompress. It also teaches the diver how to plan and make extended decompression stops. It is the next level in a diver’s training, and opens the door for deeper expeditions. For those who successfully complete the course, college credit is possible.

The Tec 40 course is for advanced divers who want to expand their knowledge of technical diving. The course includes planning and using two deco gases (nitrox in stages and 100% oxygen at the end), as well as navigating the multigas computer. Divers who have completed PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and have logged at least thirty dives are eligible for this course.
