Insurance for scuba diving accidents
DAN dive insurance covers members against the financial consequences of an underwater accident. Membership is $35 for an individual or $55 for a family. It helps the DAN conduct safety-related research and provides emergency medical assistance. Although it is not necessary to be a member, it is worth considering before you dive.

DAN USA and DAN DAN formed the PDE data base in 2000. This database provides information about recreational air, mixed gas, nitrox, and decompression diving. The PDE computer data base currently includes 137.451 profiles. This information is gathered by field work, laboratory research, and other activities with the goal of improving diving safety.
PDE stands to represent Project Dive Exploration. DAN Divers can make a donation by sharing their profile information. To be eligible for the drawing, all you have to do is dive for five minimum dives between May 28th & September 3rd 2007. A commemorative T-shirt will be given to divers who have completed 10 or more dives.
