Padi Tec 40 Diver Course

The Tec 40 Diver Course is designed to teach you how to respond to emergencies while diving. It includes three training dives, one confined water dive, as well as knowledge development and practical application sessions. After you have completed at least 30 dives including 10 enriched oxygen nitrox dives, you can earn this certification. Upon completion of this course, you'll be eligible to take Padi Tec 40 courses at colleges and universities worldwide.

The course also teaches students decompression theory which can help them plan their dives more efficiently. This course includes a comprehensive session on the configuration of diving equipment and best practices for recreational divers.

The PADI Tec40 Course takes about three days. To be eligible for the course, you must have completed at most 30 logged dives. Students may switch to enriched water to reach 40 meters after completion of the course.


To take the Tec 40 course, you must be at least 18 years old

The Tec 40 course can be taken by advanced divers who want more knowledge about technical diving. This course covers the planning, use of two decogas (nitrox or 100% oxygen in stages), and navigation with the multi-gas system. This course is for those divers who have completed the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course and have at least thirty dives.
